Alone at Dawn, the latest from Ron Howard, is officially in production at DNEG!
This marks our seventh collaboration with the Academy Award-winning director. Scroll now to learn more about all the exciting projects we've helped him bring to life over the years!
We delivered multiple sequences on The Da Vinci Code, enhancing the drama and mystery of the film with hyper-stylized VFX that pushed the edge of impossibility without crossing the line. Our work included photoreal Italian landscapes, CG vehicles and CG renderings of famous structures, created from a variety of reference photographs and Art Department sketches. These included Castle Gandolfo, Roslyn Chapel and even the Louvre!

Returning for the sequel to The Da Vinci Code, Angels & Demons required extensive environment work from our crew. The Vatican banned the production from shooting in the principality, leaving our team to meticulously recreate the intricate buildings within the area, including a flawless reproduction of the famed St. Peter's Square. Our crew also populated these scenes with immense CG crowds, and created the climactic anti-matter explosion above the Italian capital!

Inferno marked the third and final installment of The Da Vinci Code trilogy. Photoreal environments and feverish visions related to Dante's Inferno were all in a day's work for our crew on this show!

Our crew was involved with Rush from early pre-production, where we used archival footage of each race to help orchestrate the live action filming. In total, we recreated nine famous racetracks from around the world, factoring in the correct period settings and weather conditions of each track! Additional work included adding crowds, props and vehicles around the locations to recreate the colourful, vibrant feel of the 70's.

To bring In The Heart of the Sea to life, our crew crafted boats, water, dolphins, and the giant whale itself! Though much of the film was shot on location, our crew delivered CG water across several scenes, used to enhance large scale seascapes, depict interactions between the boat and marine life, provide underwater effects, and augment the setting, such as increasing the waves to reflect poor weather when needed.

Most recently, we worked as sole VFX partner on Eden, once again providing photoreal environments and creature work! Our crew transformed the shores of Queensland where the film was shot to the wild landscapes of the Galápagos, then filled it with wildlife including a Goliath centipede, swarms of mosquitoes, a pack of wild dogs and a wild boar! Our team even digitally removed teeth from actors for added authenticity, and delivered a fully CG newborn baby.

We can't wait to collaborate once again with the acclaimed director to help bring Alone at Dawn to life!
